Brazil's Top Tycoon Games Show Varied Performance in Q4 2020

As 2020 came to a close, the tycoon game genre saw a mix of trends across the top titles in Brazil, according to data from Sensor Tower. Let's delve into the performance of these games during the fourth quarter.

Playrix's Township experienced a notable spike in revenue, reaching $46K in the final week of December, up from approximately $30K at the start of the quarter. Downloads showed a peak in November with 218K, before settling to 100K by year-end. Weekly active users (WAU) followed a similar pattern, peaking at 828K in late September and then decreasing to 687K by the end of December.

Geisha Tokyo Inc.'s Pizzaiolo!, despite not generating revenue, saw a surge in downloads to 138K in the final week of November, while WAU also peaked at 193K during the same period. By the end of Q4, downloads and WAU had decreased to 44K and 85K, respectively.

SayGames LTD's Blend It 3D had negligible revenue throughout the quarter but maintained a steady download rate, with a slight dip towards December, ending at 30K. WAU started strong at 108K but saw a decline to 64K by the close of Q4.

KAYAC Inc.'s Noodle Master also didn't report any revenue, but downloads and WAU showed a declining trend, from 64K and 79K in late September to 28K and 56K, respectively, by the year's end.

Lastly, Melsoft's My Cafe — Restaurant Game saw its revenue grow from $17K to $26K over the quarter, with downloads peaking at 69K in the final week of December. The game's WAU also rose from 105K to 134K, indicating a strong finish to the year.
